Product Care

Leather

LODRO uses full-grain vegetable-tanned leather which is the uppermost layer of the animal hide. This leather retains the full strength and natural beauty of the raw material. Variations in tone and texture are inherent to full-grain leather, reflecting its integrity and authenticity.

For general care, wipe away dust or dirt with a soft, dry cloth. Keep away from heat and humidity and store in a dry and cool location. Place the item in the dust bag with paper stuffing to help maintain its shape. Avoid excessive stuffing, as this may cause the item to lose its shape. Avoid exposure to perfume, sanitiser, creams, oils, and other chemical substances. Avoid contact with sharp or abrasive items which could scratch the leather's surface. Avoid prolonged exposure to water. If it becomes wet, gently blot away excess moisture with a dry cloth and allow it to air dry naturally. We recommend using a professional leather care service when required. Please note that the colour of the leather may transfer onto light-coloured clothing upon contact.

To keep your leather in its best condition, we recommend applying a suitable leather cream to the leather. For any unwanted scratches or marks, a leather cream may also help diminish their appearance.

Hardware

LODRO uses solid brass hardware. In order to maintain the condition of the hardware, polish gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth.

Avoid exposure to chemical substances such as alcohol, sanitiser, acetone, or sunscreen, as these can damage the finish and cause discolouration or damage. If contact occurs, promptly wipe the area with a slightly damp microfiber cloth and allow it to air dry. Avoid contact with rough or abrasive surfaces, which may cause scratches and damage.

Lining

Cotton lining is low-maintenance. If dirty, wipe with a damp cloth or brush lightly. Do not machine wash or dry clean. We recommend using a professional cleaning service if needed. Avoid sharp or abrasive contact to prevent fraying, and keep away from perfume, sanitiser, creams, oils, or prolonged sunlight, as these may cause damage or discolouration.
